Announcing our 2016-2017 Concert Series

Dear Friends:

I invite you, our loyal audience, to join the Etobicoke Community Concert Band for its 2016-17 formal concert series. On Friday, October 28, 2016 we will start the season with “Arrr Matey!” – the music of sailors, pirates, and adventurers with special guest John MacMurchy who plays tenor sax and clarinet.

Our annual Christmas concert, “Christmas Sweater Swing”, will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016. We will present many of your seasonal favourites with a swing twist. Our special guests will be The Harmony Singers of Etobicoke.

On Friday, March 31, 2017 the theme will be “What Happens in Vegas” – the best of the Rat Pack & modern highliners of the famous Vegas showrooms featuring the power of our own Etobicoke Swing Orchestra.

Our concert on Friday, May 26, 2017, “Bandemonium”, will be a great pandemonium of music with concert music as the common element. We will be introducing the winner of the annual “Harvey Rutledge Award” who will perform with the band.

All concerts are held at Etobicoke Collegiate (86 Montgomery Rd, Etobicoke) from 8:00 – 10:00 pm.

Ticket prices: $15.00 per concert, $50.00 for a season subscription. Children under 12 are free. Group sales and season subscriptions are now available. The Etobicoke Community Concert Band’s mission is to enliven the spirit of the people of Etobicoke by providing high quality musical entertainment and a forum for musicians from the community to practice and perform in a challenging and supportive ensemble environment to develop and enhance the musical skills of the members of ECCB. Beyond our 4-part concert series, we extend our resources to a multitude of community performances, charitable events and worthwhile causes in our neighbourhood and our city.
