We would like to invite you to bring your family, friends, and lawn chairs to our free summer concerts at Applewood / The Shaver Homestead on June 21, July 5, and July 19, 2017:
Wednesday, June 21, 2017
Our first concert will be hosted by Yvan Baker, MPP Etobicoke Centre and will feature the Etobicoke Swing Orchestra. The Etobicoke Community Concert Band will play selections from Shania Twain, James Bond, and Frank Sinatra.
Wednesday, July 5, 2017
Our second concert will be a tribute to Canada and its 150th birthday. Borys Wrzesnewskyj, MP Etobicoke Centre will be our host. Celebrating Canada will be our theme for the evening as we perform Canada 150, a new suite by Vern Kennedy. There might even be some cake to top off the birthday festivities!

Our final concert will feature music from movies such as Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King. There will also be some well-known tunes from Stevie Wonder, Santana, and Elvis Pres ley.
All concerts are free and begin at 7:00 p.m. on the lawn in front of Applewood / The Shaver Homestead in Broadacres Park, 450 The West Mall. Each summer concert will feature a raffle with fantastic prizes donated by our friends at Jack Astor’s, Mother’s Marketplace, Red Lobster, Romi’s Pizza, and The Perfect Nail Spa. At the July 19th concert, there will be a draw for the grand prize package from the Famous People Players valued at $200.
